Stage Stop Guest Cottages

Built in the 1870s as a stagecoach stop, this Historic Landmark property has been transformed into two private cottages centered around a secluded courtyard. Stage Stop owners Janis and Bill Keske have completely restored the property and decorated the rooms with handcrafted furniture, antiques, art, and favorite collectibles from their from travels to Mexico and the Southwest. Located in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains and only 20 minutes from downtown Denver, Stage Stop is an ideal location in any season. Red Rocks Park and the towns of Boulder and Central City/Blackhawk are less than a half-hour away. Six world-class ski areas are within two hours. Founded in 1859, Golden was the first capital of the Colorado Territory. Just two blocks from Stage Stop’s front door is the main shopping, dining and historic district. Clear Creek, one block away, offers fishing, gold panning, kayaking, or a leisurely stroll along the River Walk. The Golden Visitor’s Center (one block away) can guide you to all of Golden’s historic and special attractions. Golfers can experience the championship, award-winning Fossil Trace golf course.
